So, I'm sitting here at Starbucks having an iced green tea (which is what I primarily patron Starbucks for....tea, not coffee) and working on media things and I think to myself, "well this is nice, I know the baristas, they know me, I'm having some tea sitting in a comfy chair, is this what relaxing feels like?" lol I'm sure there are other things I could do to chill out but lately I've found that sitting in my comfy leather chair in the corner here at Starbucks has proven to help my creativity and productivity really come alive. One of the baristas here, Sam, has an art project that she heads up to keep art programs in schools alive and well. Her project is called The Primary Colors Project and you can find it at http://primarycolorsproject.com. You can also find and purchase her art on http://www.etsy.com/shop/theprimaries. Sam is very passionate about art and seeing everybody make art in their own way. Be it oil on canvas, mixed media on a vinyl record or thrown paint-filled water balloons on a huge board it's art! Be sure to check out the project online and raise awareness about art and arts programs in schools. The future generation deserves to know how to express themselves in something other than 1s and 0s.
